Biography

In the Physical World

In ancient days (2018, so they say), between the waning of the Duchy and the waxing of the Grand Duchy, Ashurbanipal was brought into the Misty Hollow by Wilhelm and The One True Ashe, and was later there also a Monarch for some time. It is said that the very first day, on the car ride to park, Ashurbanipal was told "Some guy was just banned, it was controversial or something" Then, at park, Ashe said "They were banned, we don't need to talk about it." Then the park spent 40 minutes talking about it and not playing Amtgard. This set the tone for the rest of Ashurbanipal's experience in Amtgard. Despite (or perhaps, consistent with) some accounts that claim Lochaven was responsible for the decline and fall of Misty Hollow, Ashurbanipal proceeded to spend about 2 years without gap as Grand Duchy GMR/PM. Thereafter, Ashurbanipal became involved in Kingdom deeds, joining the KRW Board of Directors, and representing the Rising Winds as Rules Representative for the last stage of the 2022-2023 v8 revision cycle. It has been said that Ashurbanipal is Knower of Rules.

Autumn Druid

In all lands touched by the mists of Shaddenvael, it is known that druids come in quartets, touched by the temperate seasons. In the time that explorers opened a path through the underground pass to the well of voyage, Ashurbanipal bore the mantle of the Autumn Druid, embodied by love-lives-bleeding, and embodying the autumnal blast of the decay, the whirlwind of destruction, and of survival. In the west, druids gathered, calling on the powers of the rift of Shaddenvael, and performed a ritual to call back soul of Yorick Ebonmoon, touched by the magic of druids from realms beyond.

Baronetcy

Nobles in the lake-loving lands of the north saw fit to raise Ashurbanipal to a Baronetcy. "Mischievous Tides" is the adopted name of this Baronetcy, being wet enough to suit of haven of lochs to which service was recognized, the deeds of Ashurbanipal being both slow-seeming, but as powerful and inexorable and all-consuming as the tides, and being targeted mostly towards mischief and confusion to enemies as much as to specific goals. Any resemblance to a certain Taken from Aloe are sure to be coincidence.

Sol Heredit

It came to pass that a great war came between adherents of the Phoenix in those lands, between those who claimed the name of the Sun and that of the Moon. It seemed that some esoteric doctrinal difference came between them, such as whether it was the Sun which bore the true light of the Phoenix and the Moon merely its reflection, or that it was the Moon that held the emberheart of the Phoenix and the Sun only a beacon to show its way when it slept. When the armies of the Sun and Moon came upon the west, it was Ashurbanipal, imbued with the power of the Sun like a living avatar of nature, that led solar armies to war. Taking the name of Sol Heredit, inheritor of the Sun, and bearing a bronze mask, the General of the Army of the Sun Phoenix took the field with the aspects of the Sun; not Sun the life-giver, but Sun the life-ripper, worldscorcher and ravager, not Sun the warmth-bringer but Sun the drought-bringer, the burning hate, the unrelenting. Lo, it came to pass, however, that on those fields, the forces of the Moon caused a silver spike to impale the heart of Sol Heredit, and thereby leech away and imprison the powers of the Sun. The very body itself, however, of Sol Heredit, was borne away, and it was not seen what came thereafter of Ashurbanipal.
