Writing entries for A&S tournaments are often broken down into several subcategories:
- Fiction
- Nonfiction
- Persona History
- Poetry
- Quest description
Some corporas require that written entries be submitted to the judges a specific time prior to the tourney itself, giving them a chance to read the entries in advance. This speeds up the judging process.
