History
The Kingdom of the Golden Plains was founded as a Shire of the Emerald Hills in Amarillo Texas in 1988, attaining status as a Barony later that year. Boldwen Reinholt served as the Golden Plains' first (and only) Sheriff and as its first Baron. Golden Plains first baronial coronation was held in March of 1989, attended by King Landolf and a delegation from the Emerald Hills. The Golden Plains become the fourth Amtgard Kingdom in 1992, 1 month before the Iron Mountains). A delegation from the Burning Lands was in attendance.
Directions to GP Proper
The Golden Plains meets Sunday Afternoon, 3:00 P.M. at Memorial park, Washington St, behind Amarillo College.
Directions from I-27: Take Washington Street exit. Go North on Washington Street. There will be signs indicating Amarillo College on the east (right) side of the street. The park is on the south side of the college.
Directions from I-40: Take Washington Street exit. Go South on Washington Street. There will be signs indicating Amarillo College on the east (left) side of the street. The park is on the south side of the college.
