An appointed land position.
Though the position's particulars vary by land, the Court Herald generally is expected to announce and summon those called before Court events, and is most often appointed at will by the land Monarch.
An example--the Westmarch Corpora entry:
Section 16. Court Herald
Duties of the Court Herald is the same at the local level as they are at the Confederate level
- 1. The Court Herald (“Herald”) is responsible for all announcements of the Crown.
- 2. The Herald shall open and close courts for the Crown and announce all persons coming before the Crown while court is being held.
- 3. The Monarch may appoint and dismiss the Herald at will.
