This is a record of custom-named prizes given out at the Voltron Tournament.

In the interest of standards-compliance and uniformity: many of these prizes make use of the "Counts As" rule, simply cloning/renaming existing Talismans from the rulebook. These functionally-identical clones are designed to honor some of the most deserving members of our LARP community.

Origin

"Skinned MTG Cards" were the inspiration for this. Skinned Cards are a special Magic: The Gathering card which feature a non-Magic IP themed "skin" overlay. This skin consists of themed alternate artwork and flavor text, and an additional card name, under which the original name is also printed (The first such series was the "Godzilla" themed cards in the Ikoria set).

Using this framework as an inspiration, ^this system began, wherein normal non-custom Talismans from the Amtgard rulebook get similarly renamed or "skinned" in honor of notable individuals from the Amtgard kingdoms of NL, BS, and VO.

The Voltron tournament is, after all, a Magic: The Gathering card tournament at heart.
