In the early years of the Northern Holdfast, Dan held the position of sheriff and in fact was often the sole officer for the first year and a half. In 1999 the Iron Mountains chose to recognize Dan’s seminal role in the creation of our duchy by elevating him to [[Knighthood]] of the Flame. [[Sir]] [[Moss]] of the Iron Mountains Duchy is Dan’s brother.
