An event site in Central Texas. It has been used for the 2008 Tri-Kingdom Midreign/Olympiad, the Fall 2012 Olympiad, EH June 2013 Coronation, and the 2013 Banner Wars/Olympiad.

Amenities

  • There are public showers/toilets on site.
  • Tent camping anywhere.
  • The restored Fort makes a great backdrop for games or competitions.
  • The HQ has AC/heat, a full kitchen, bathrooms with showers, a meeting room that seats 65, and wifi internet.
  • There is a renovated two bedroom house for rent.
  • There are Rooms for rent in one of the two renovated barracks. Individual bedrooms with shared shower/toilet facilities. The short barracks has a coffee maker and mini-refrigerator. The large barracks has a shared kitchenette with full size refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave.
  • There is a suite in the short barracks, twice the size of the other rooms with a queen bed, sofa, and lounge chair.
  • There are 35 RV parking spots with water and electric ($15/night), and many dry RV spots without hook-ups.
  • There are also Teepees available for use (with a $100 set up fee).

Directions from DFW:

  • Take I-45 south to exit 219A, TX-14. Continue South on TX-14 past Mexia.
  • DO NOT turn at Fort Parker State Park.
  • DO NOT turn at the brown Fort Parker Restoration sign.
  • Turn right when you see this sign (below).
  • If you end up in Groesbeck, you've passed it.
