Forest Grove

a defunct chapter of Mystic Seas, located in Forest Grove, Oregon, at Rogers Park.

History

Rogers Park was one of the prime meeting places for Amtgard in the Pacific Northwest prior to the split that created the separate Kingdoms of Mystic Seas and The Valley of Silver Rains. During 1997, the holding went by only the name "Mystic Seas," and was the Kingdom Seat. Prior to the split (sometime around 1994 and 1996), many people came from Portland and surrounding areas to play at Rogers Park. A major reason for the split was travel distance, though other elements may have been at play.

Attendance was near 25-30 people per weekend, with several people coming from other holdings weekly.

This holding collapsed sometime after 1997. Some members seen there at that time are still active in Amtgard.
