No problem, that is what we are here for. Hannoske 16:30, 9 March 2009 (EDT)
I went ahead and deleted the pics for you, you were not able to remove them be cause you aren't an administrator. I just didn't want to do anything with you content without asking. --Linden 17:10, 9 March 2009 (EDT)
As for the login, we are not sure how that got messed up, your best bet would be to simply create a new one with the appropriate name. If you don't feel like it, you can always use the Fyoré one. Either way, it should link back to your regular page. If you have any problems with that let me know. As for the armor question, you get two points per location. For example with Barbarian, they get 2 points of armor. If it covered your entire body, then you could potentially absorb up to 10 hits, with there being five legal hit locations (2 Arms, 2 Legs, & Torso). Also, it doesn't need to be one piece either. I could wear a gambeson, Plate elbows, with a chain hauberk (short sleeve), and then a Heavy leather bracer. These would average out to 4 points for the arm. And the torso would be 4 from the hauberk/gambeson combo. Let me know if this doesn't answer your question, or if you have any more. Oh also, some places will allow you to wear heavier armor than you are allowed, but you only get to count it as what you are allowed. I.e. Barbarian wears plate. Still counts as 2. The second rule of magic is an interesting one, and one that is actually kind of new to the game. In past versions of the rules it used to be as simple as pointing or just casting, but this got confusing for some, so it was changed to the name/unique thing. It is common in many places to be more relaxed on this rule if the target is obvious, for instance you are the only one chasing me, and I turn as I run and cast hold person. No one can really question that I meant you. When this is the case, most people will let it slide. But when people are grouped things get harder. You can usually still tell who they are targeting because many people still point, and even though they may forget rule #2, I have seen it where the person says "me?" then takes it when the caster says yes or nods. Is this the correct letter of the law? No. But this is common practice. What you need to do is talk to your monarch, and figure out how they want to run it. If people can agree that you don't need to argue obvious cases, then don't worry about it. But if there is an argument, I suggest that you ask them to enforce the rule. If they wont, talk to the GMR. If you don't have one, bring it up at all thing saying something like "I have noticed that we as a group seem to be having a problem following rule of magic #2. I am going to take effort to make sure that I stick to it, and ask that you guys help me by not taking magic where I forgot your name or a unique descriptor. I would encourage all of you to do the same as well." Keep it inclusive, make it sound like your mistake, and something that you want to fix. Don't accuse people. That being said... you seem to be implying that the problem lies in the clique nature of your group, and the inflated sense of power of Rosaline. I find it odd that she is not in your lands ork. But looking through it looks like her term should be up in July. I would say talk with her personally about if she would help you make sure that rules are being enforced fairly, as champion (I think, your ork needs some work) you have a say too. In fact you are the one who runs battle games. If you think it is a rules thing that she is simply not following them for an advantage, take the game off and be a reeve. Call everyone out. If you think she is on a power trip, I recommend wait til July, and run against her. Get the support of the other nine people, which sounds like a majority to me, and show her how a monarch should be. Don't let it get into an us versus them argument. That will only tear your land apart, and run people out of the game. Be inclusive, and find ways to say what you want without it sounding like an attack, and you should be able to do well in fixing your problems. Wow... that was long. -Hannoske 22:04, 24 May 2009 (EDT)
Nice to hear from you. That is an interesting question you posed, and I must admit I actually had to check my rulebook. The rule you are looking for is actually located in the Glossary on page 58. Under Destroyed it states "A destroyed weapon or shield may be recovered by returning to base and waiting for a 100 count. This simulates retrieving a new one from base... Destroyed armor may be repaired by using the Mend spell for each point in each location to be recovered." The separation of these tells us that they are intended to be different. And that the retrieving rule is only for weapons and shields. Hannoske 15:39, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
