Psylocyte sapien is a mychonid from the D&D world of the Forgotten Realms. She is a creature of the underdark and is of the lineage of mages among her people. She has an extreme prejudice against drow, the ancestral foes of her people. She is a portal hopper. She seems to be drawn to inter dimensional portals and has adventured in many lands, including Fionivar, Wonderland, the Mushroom Kingdom, as well as Amtgardia. Having run away from home to escape an arranged marriage she does not seek a way back to the Forgotten Realms, but rather is always looking for new and exciting adventures. While she has made many friends in Amtgardia, particularly in Wolvenfang where she first arrived, this world is not a particularly good fit for her. As her race does not typically sleep except in the cold season, and then by putting down rhysomes and allowing their bodies to die, she has a great deal of trouble getting any sleep at all. When she allows her body to die so that she can hibernate, the phoenix resurrects her and she finds herself whole and awake again. After two years of no sleep she went quite insane and nearly caused her best friend to become non-existent. It was at this point that Talaris began to sever her spirit for the winters, so that she could sleep peacefully through the cold season. Psylo is currently acting as a messenger all over the Northern Empire and surrounding lands, spreading the word about the local happenings and gatherings.
