The Witch of Berries Curse

The Ice Pirates were in the windy north working for a winter king in his backwards city of Tonim. They spent many days and nights hunting down monsters and even found that their names and deeds had spread far and wide across the land. With such fame came advancements. This brought the mighty captain to work with many of the king's council. Unfortunately, one of those on the council, was embarrassed when called to count for her uncourtly behavior towards Captain Perrin Wyyrlok. Feeling humiliated, the secret dark Witch of Berries, put a curse of the ice pirate crew. This curse stops them from returning to their homeland of North Reach. She claimed the only way to break the curse was for their beloved captain to leave his crew for one full cycle of the earth around the sun. But they had been deceived...

A year later the captain attempted to board his ship, and the ship and crew were caught up in a great storm. They were tossed all about both by air, land, and by sea. The ship suffered great damage and then they found themselves missing many of their crew and stranded in a hot and muggy land. Thankfully the Captain Perrin, his wife Bronwynn and their two children Raphael of Perrin and Jade of Perrin managed to stay together. Wandering for months they discovered a strange place known as Dragons Crossing. The people seemed friendly enough and Bronwynn quickly took a liking to the local Regent who helped her embrace her many skills. In fact, they found ways that all their crew could fit in, and they decided to stick around and work with this Barony while their ship was being repaired. Unfortunately, these repairs have been slow and steady, so they still wait to voyage north to their homeland of North Reach.
