I actually know the entire history of the shire, I ran it in all it's incarnations while it existed. Also, I am aware of the lansing groups, we were actually formed originally by myself and a friend who went to college in lansing(just outside of haslett) and played at ashen hills. I have been to ashen hills, and hung out extensively with some of there members at several events, that group is full of good people and players. As for my group, we had many problems with shifting player base, and no one seemed to want to learn the rule book other than myself and my champion. That caused all kinds of problems. I haven't played in a few years, mostly because I don't really want to get up on sunday mornings and drive an hour to haslett and then an hour home at the end of the day.
