The Tale
Hail brothers in arms! Sisters of war! Those who wield the bow and sword! Pay heed, for I have a tale the great bards of old will envy in their grave. In these last days, the great and prestigious Battle for the Ring raged. There were many glories here of feast and fighting, of revelries and wars, but these are not the tales I aim to tell. Nay, now while they may be told another day, I have a tale of a name.
For it came to pass that in the Clan of Forsaken was a young woman fighter, and for her Forsaken brother she did agree to lend a hand. At the midday meal, Brother Ogre did feed us with hog roasted by his own hand. But due to his long trek home, he could not take this vessel used to prepare the meal back with him. And so his newest sister did take this burning vessel. Though after a long day of battles and glory, the young woman became absent minded in her haste to be home, was carelessly check it and placed it in her vehicle. With waves of goodbyes, she did leave Battle for the Ring, at first not truly understanding why the vehicle was warm and comfortable. It was at first attributed to the natural high of a wonderful event. But when she stopped for fuel not but a minute down the road, she noticed something terrifying. The vessel she had in the back still contained live embers and coal.
With all manner of scraps and rubbish at her disposal, she did fling the embers from the vehicle in haste, and all manner of safety measures were taken, or as much as they could have been in such a situation. In sending word to her Forsaken Brother Revered, he did speak that returning to the site of the Clan Forsaken to be the best course of action. So with heavy heart, she returned to her family in arms.
With much shock and care, her brothers sprang from their seats to remove the vessel and extinguish the embers left behind in it's removal, Brother Arrow most determined of them all in this task. Once the fire and embers were deposed of, the Forsaken did bid their young sister to stay and rest after her ordeal, and she did agree. After time was spent to allow the vessel to cool, it was determined by touch it would no longer burn. Brother Serge, happy to help, did go to once again place the vessel into his sister's vehicle. Yet once opened, smoke bellowed from the door as if a dragon's blast, and water was called to put out a coal that had gone unseen by all. Brother Arrow was the more vigorous in the dampening of the flame, determined to right the error he felt he had made, for it was he that sought to putting out the flames on his sister's arrival.
After all was made well again, all was safe, all was calmed, all given the chance at laughter with suggestions of curses, dragons, and homicidal vehicles, their new battle sister was given a new name. For this is why she has yet to have been named. Let it be known that on this day in the year of our Lord, January 19th 2015, there will no longer be a 'Karissa D'ann', she is and forever shall be named Scorch Flamedancer for the coals and embers that scorched the vehicle that does bring her to all battles and glory! Huzzah!!!
Too Long, Did Not Read
I was a dumbass and I put a meat smoker in my car with live coals in it still and the back seat has some cosmetic damage, and now my name is Scorch Flamedancer. I'm fine, and so is everyone and everything else.
