Biography
Kirsten Haardrad joined Amtgard in the Shire of Wildgard, up in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. She joined May 27, 2012, during the first Feast of the Raven (Wildgard's Spring event). Almost immediately, she stepped up and offered her home as a crafting location. Then Sheriff, Zume Frostpaw, and Regent Sylver Snowlynx gave her the honourary title of Crafthall GuildMistress and encouraged a bi-weekly crafting session. It has since evolved to a weekly event with a common sight of 10-20 members dropping in to craft, eat and socialize.
January 2013, she autocrated her first event, First Feast of the SnowFox. At this event, she was asked to step up and take the position of Regent to Sylver's Sheriff and Zume became the Chancellor. As Regent, she continued to encourage crafting, by doing narrow focus A&S competitions at the 2nd Feast of the Raven, the 2nd Summerstorm Lightning Fest, the first Tri-Park DragonMaster (in Emerson Manitoba)and the 2nd Feast of the Wolf. She stepped down at the 2nd Feast of the Snowfox in January 2014.
At the 3rd Feast of the Raven, in June of 2014, Kirsten was awarded the title of "Lady" by then Sheriff, Gypsius Muridae. She created House Haardrad, a noble Household teaching and encouraging of the concepts of Noblesse Oblige and Chivalry.
On August 2nd, at the court of the 3rd Summerstorm Lightning Fest, Lady Kirsten granted a Man-at-Arms belt to Pye (Wizard GM of Wildgard), a member of House Haardrad. She also gave a guardsman belt to Wulfric Greyfang. She intends to continue to craft, teach and encourage as many as she can in the future.
