Holdings within the Province
Kaembryge is home to many local businesses, most important among an adventurer’s heart and stomach being the local taverns. The one I stopped at belonged to Lady Bridgette, who used her salary from her terms in office to procure “The Wench’s Knees.” Since then it has become the epicenter of social life in the province. Many local beers, ales, and meads are sold here, and the doors never close.
Aside from the Wench’s Knees, all other taverns and inns in town are owned and operated by House Thug, though the center of their operations in town is the Black Bear Tavern. Outside of town they keep a mead hall called Hell Haus.
Privately from his House holdings, Lord Enforcer Kyrryn also has an Abbey carved directly out of a waterfall made of purest obsidian, located deep within the woods.
Atop Emmon’s Cliff is the ruin of the Borderland’s Keep, and the Darkblade flag flies over it. Few go there as the undead held in thrall by Lord Sir Nella Darkblade keep watch over the area.
Equally as mysterious is the villa of Lord Squire Stylez. It flies the Dark Rider colors, and travelers, Minions, and Riders come and go from that place. A warning, though, that anyone who approaches its private dock are dispelled and shot without warning. Survivors are shot again.
Finally, humbly standing in an artificial clearing to the South of town is a 11-tiered round pagoda-style tower, the ground within 50’ in every direction cleared away. This is the Tower of the Farquestor, home to Katzu the Farquestor. Many wonders are said to be contained within, though to date none have entered its tranquil halls.
