Mission Statement
My mission is to build the finest custom sailing, submersible, and airborne vessels ever seen in Amtgard; exact to the smallest detail, and precise to the specifications of my patrons.
About the Yard
In RP,Harper's Castle is a shipyards in the Emerald Hills, owned and operated by Deitri Van D'Evic. In reality however, it is Deitri's work bench, where award winning model ships are designed and constructed.
About the Shipwright
Deitri built his first model ship in 1986, out of some match sticks, cardboard, and a pecan shell. Though he was only seven years old, he found his calling as a model ship scratch builder, and has been doing it ever since. With each successive model completed, his knowledge and skill increased until he became a master of the artistry and engineering that is designing and constructing models of wood masted sailing vessels. His craftsmanship has earned him numerous awards and recognition in the Arts and Sciences community. Most notable is his model of the Drakon, a viking longship based on a schematic of the Gokstad Ship, an eleven hundred year old vessel unearthed in Norway. Deitri's model was entered in Dragonmaster XIII, presented floating in water, and earned him a score of 4.88 and an Order of the Dragon. Since then, his model ships have only increased in quality and level of detail.
After having built a number of model ships for himself, Deitri decided to build models of ships that exist only in Amtgard RP. He is happy to collaborate with any individual, household, or company that has a ship in RP, and would like to have a model of it built. These models are not built from kits, nor plans from any outside source. Every ship built at Harper's Castle is designed and built from scratch by Deitri. ”Straight from my mind to reality.”
