Biography

Dredge "Dogwood" Gravehand, Bonne Tombe appeared outside of crypt for the first time in May 2023 after being delivered unto Ragnovik’s doorstep by a traveling mermaid who found him washed up on a nearby shore. He swears he's a cenobitic monk of Ilmater, but most insist he has to be some kind of pirate. He digs a mean grave, pirate or not.

Years of severe medical leave from martial arts have left his fighting skills covered in a great plume of dust and cobwebs. Dredge is prone to fighting “for the unholy delight of it”, where the spirit of the fight tends to be more important than the act of winning.

While his fighting may not be particularly grand, he instead focuses most of his time on the arts. He is privy to taking up the pen and performing poetic narratives, but may occasionally lend favor to a brush. Often, the majority of his work lies in prismatic prints from some magical glowing slate he keeps in his knapsack.

In July of 2024, Dredge left his crypt in the care of the goblin Squee and the mermaid Gemini after getting sent up the river a second time to the duchy of Storm Bridge in the Kingdom of Rising Winds.

Affiliated Groups

Dredge is currently a member of the House of Fallen Flames. He was often found milling around with the other bards of Neverwinter at kingdom events. He prefers poetry and storytelling, but can be bribed to sing on occasion, if the situation calls for it. After moving to Rising Winds, he has since inadvertently turned HFF into a interkingdom household.

Dredge also serves as an acolyte to the Ascendant fighting company.

Ask him about the menagerie for an incredible tale about undeath and freedom. It won't cost you. Much.

Belted Family

In an act of debatable chicanery, Dredge is paged to two separate overbelts in his homeland of Ragnovik. This was a division based on interests, with two paths diverging in the name of combat and the arts.

Notable Accomplishments

Received 3rd place as a representative of Ragnovik in the 2024 Princess Cup kingdom-level A/S Tourney, in his first genuine appearance in a kingdom-level tournament. At least he remembered to put his name on the paper, this time.

Served as the Vendor-Crat for Neverwinter's 2024 Spring Midreign, where he overtook the abandoned tavern hall and created a vendors market, planting himself there for the entire event to ensure vendors were well taken care of. Supplied all vendors with handcrafted signage, and invoked the Facebook Ad-pocalypse leading up to the event.

Dredge was a self-titled "inkmonkey" for the Kingdom of Neverwinter. He's prone to donating art and graphics whenever someone needs a hand. Contributed to the Neverwinter Facebook page banner for the 48th reign from January-August 2024. Prone to gifting art for knighting events and helping design personal phoenixes. This habit extends to his shield-brothers across kingdom lines, and he continues this habit in Rising Winds.

Somehow, in 2023, Dredge went to partake in a painting event at a Kingdom midreign. Despite painting with other people for several hours, he remained blithely unaware of the voting element of the event. Received 2nd Place by popular vote at Feast the following night— complete with his name fully not existing on the painting.
