Since I never got anything going in Milwaukee, and I'm sad to report the rural part of Japan (greenspace is relatively plentiful here, including a park that would have been great for Amtgard, we'd need a reeve or page in a wetsuit to fish missed arrows out of the Sea of Japan though, and the winters are similar to wisconsin) where I've been living never seemed like I could start something that would survive the inevitable departure of myself and whichever of my wife's colleagues I could have stolen from more traditional budo. I thought it would be a disservice to the community to steal people from already depleted kendo teams for our upstart foam-fighting game. It's a damn shame, but western sports are more popular here for sure on the elementary and middle school level, and baseball is probably more popular and highschool and above too. If you see me at a park (unlikely, because I'm sneaky) or in public, hit me up for more Japan stories, I've got about three years worth.

Now that I've hopefully proved my identity (confirm with Nadir or Bangor, if it's important) I'll go delete all the things I'm qualified to remove from the page.
