Azurian Guard

Description:

Azurian Guard are a fighting company whose Primary Mission is the defence of the home holding of Dragon's Forge and the protection of its populous.

Recruitment is primarily restricted to members of the Barony, but the captains have agreed that they would not rule out an extraordinary circumstance.

History:

Azurian Guard began as the Noob Squad and underwent a very brief incarnation as the Blue Drakes - the drake remains the blazon of the company. The current name is inspired by historical elite guard units and the company's aspirations to greatness. After the fashion of Praetorian and Varangian Guards, Azurian is a reference to the primary colour of the Guard and Dragon's Forge: blue, or in heraldic terms, azure.

Azurian Guard formed in November 2005 with five original members: Larch, Rune, Mezimere Oakheart, Ovate Valtenssen, and Stump. The Guard is currently in the stages of organization and training.
