"Amtgard Standard Time" is the phenomenon that all things Amtgard start late. "30 minutes late" is pretty impressive, 1 hour late is fairly typical.
Rumor has it, some individuals will do things On Time, but such things are viewed with the kind of skepticism and derision usually reserved for Big Foot sightings and a lawyer's claims of honesty.
Usage:"We play on Saturdays at 1pm, Amtgard Standard Time"
Meaning: "If you show up at 1, you'll probably be alone. Folks will be there by 1:30, but we don't really get rolling till 2."
