Its important to maintain a website with current information about your Amtgard group to help people find you.
Here are some free hosting services:
- Yahoo Groups (they even have a section for Amtgard, with a handy "start new group" link near the top) http://games.dir.groups.yahoo.com/dir/Games/Role_Playing_Games/Live_Action/Amtgard
If you're group is intent on paying for it's hosting, there are innumerable ways to get it.
GoDaddy - offers domain name purchasing, and fairly economical hosting prices. They like to throw extra offers at you, so be careful
SkyWax - Development company semi-founded by an amtgarder. They do design for free and have a slick back-end CMS that allows easy updates. Not terribly expensive either.
