Tom here, forgot to sign in when I deleted Alt and Master section. Basically, we don't really use them, (very rarely) and though we keep track of when we use them, you don't really get credit. All the classes should still be available to look at via [[Alternate Class]] so it's not like they can't be found, but I felt it gave the wrong impression being the only group particular data on the page. And it being something that was against the rules. --[[Kai]]

Just so you guys know, that blog is very rarely used and fairly outdated =P.

It seemed that way, but it was the best contact I had for the. Plus the writing is good and interesting to read . --Linden 09:30, 21 February 2008 (EST)

Hey, Thomas here. I tried to update a few things, but I'm sure I might have phrased something wrong or mispelled. Also, I set up the Master classes, thanks to Linden (I think) for the correction on the alt classes. I don't want to get in any trouble here.

The only think I think folks might gripe about is the the name 'Onion Knight'. Other wise, you folks seem to be having fun, and I'm all for that. Is everything going well for you guys? --Linden 15:01, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

We kinda hit that lul for a while, but with the Alt Classes and desiging a few more battle games we pretty much are picking things back up. Starting to get closer to the rulebook every week. Even now we realized we were holding elections incorrectly and we're going to correct them. Things are looking up for us.

Excellent, I'm glad to hear it. Any chance of some of you guys making it to Clan this year?--Linden 13:32, 3 July 2008 (EDT)

I'm not exactly certain the info about that. Kai

This year is the 25th anniversary of Clan. It is is the longest running Event. It's held in New Mexico every year on the third weekend of July. --Linden 19:40, 3 July 2008 (EDT)

I can't speak for everyone, but I think New Mexico is a bit out of the way for me. --Kai

Our big recruiting event is on the same weekend. It's an anime convention that is like Christmas for us :D. So I don't think we'll be making it out this year :(. - Tamakins

Thumbs down on the alt/master classes.

Master classes or abilities have been tried in Amtgard's past... and abandoned. While I wasn't there, I suspect the reason was to shorten the gap in power between brand new players and The Old Guard.

The physical skills experience players possess is a significant advantage in its own right... I see no need to give such people Even More Power. They're already going to get their guts stomped out. No need to make it worse.

If you feel you must grant additional abilities, I suggest instead that you grant class masters or guild masters of a fighting class the ability to empower new(er) players of their class. The Bard's spell "Confidence" fits quite nicely, but it's not all that hard to come up with other ideas.

I urge you to even the playing field a little, rather than making it steeper.

Oh, and your Prophet is suspiciously like a Paladin that cannot wear armor. (but can give themselves a stoneskin... Time to break out the nerf bat)
