Hi; I'm not in Amtgard, but I was in the original Emarthnguarth organization, and I can confirm that Peter LaGrue was in Emarthnguarth for at least a year or two. He led a country called Zem-Tuo --- the name came from Frank Roso's world map in the rulebook --- but he was not seen as a major leader by anyone I knew.  He was a pompous, beardy-nerdy man in his 20s who delivered a lot of unsought lectures and told a lot of unlikely stories, but he never tried to physically intimidate anyone that I heard of.  It's hard to imagine him doing that --- not because he was nice or gentle, but because he was pudgy and quite short.  I was only 13/14 years old at the time, and I was not in the least afraid of him.  Sad to read of his apparent mental illness.  If you need proof that he was in Emarthnguarth, I can scan pages from old newsletters that mention him by name.
