Shadowmist was formed in the summer of 1999 by Brother Frederik, Shaheena, Aislinn Nic'Fearchair, and Maven Alysse.

Roleplaying
The area claimed by ShadowMist is surrounded by mountains, wild magic forests, swamps, and deserts. The people range from nomadic herding tribes, to outlanders and their offspring who arrived seeking a new life “taming” the land. Many of the tribes in the north are Celtic and are descended from the Barbarian Tribes who overran the land thousands of years ago when the sorceress Gwen Ap’Torillia called down the magic final strike that created the mountains and the tainted wild magic areas. The northern barbarian clans had for years regularly fought each other over territory, livestock, or any other excuse they needed.
The southern area had long been wild and the domain of nomadic tribes of the Romany, that came over the foothills from the desert. One of these wandering clans was run by a strong leader named Jendarial. She brought her clan up into the area of the barbarian clans and claimed leadership. Though at first the clans resisted the idea of a single chieftan, soon they recognized the wisdom of cooperation and a new era of prosperity began.
ShadowMist Keep and Riverton were settled by outlanders. In the southeast of the Kingdom, the River Shwill empties into a large swamp. The few occupants of that swamp long been wild and the domain of wandering clans of the Romany. and very few people visit that swamp. There is said to be an enclave of elves in the foothills southwest of the swamp, but this is unproven. There are also small bands of Goblins in the wild magic forest who sometimes will raid the farms in the eastern sector of the kingdom.

Games are held at Pickrell Park in Schertz, Texas. Schertz is near the intersection of 1604 and I35 on the north-east side of San Antonio.
The best way to get there is to take I-35 and Exit 1518 and make a right (If you are comming from north of San Antonio, make a LEFT). Continue down 1518, and pickrell park is on the lefthand side.
