Scalpel and Broadsword's Hosts Akrith and Bowen

Background

Scalpel and Broadsword is a Goldenvale centered podcast which, while staying focused on Goldenvale, tries to bring in conversation that applies to Amtgard in general. The three hosts of the show, Akrith, Bowen, and Shalingh bring a combined experience of over 30 years in Amtgard to the table.

The show's title was chosen based on a comparison of Akrith and Bowen, the original two hosts, as problem solvers; as the saying went "Akrith is the surgeon who sees a diseased finger and carefully removes said finger, Bowen is the warrior who sees a diseased finger and cuts off the hand, making sure no more fingers become diseased."
