*Perhaps best known for the Sathallarin Incident when he claimed falsely to have been a knight.

In November of 1993, Sathallarin started his first steps in Amtgard.  He randomly visited parks other than his home park, the freehold of Hunter's Keep, in Savannah, GA.  Being mundanely employed by the US military, Sathallarin went where his duty station placed him.  This landed him in Fort Campbell, KY forming the Shire of the Silver Acorn (under the Kingdom of Iron Mountains)at the turn of the Millenia.

Additional Information
After a brief stay, Sathallarin founded a fighting company, the White Cloaks, and when many members of the Shire of Silver Acorn (among them, Sathallarin's second in command, Xolan Ludisfane) were robbed by the monarch, Kebler Silverhart, Sathallarin relocated his company to a new shire, the Citadel of the Two Rivers.

In 2001, Sathallarin remodled the fighting company renaming it the Mithral Host, and elven based fighting company with a military command structure.  For the amount of time it was active, it had collected many supporters and members and had different sectors of the group throughout Amtgard.

Squire Xolan Ludisfane formed the Emerald Detatchment in the Kingdom of Emerald Hills.  Orron Delphie commanded the Fallen Stars detatchment in Goldenvale, until relinquishing his command to Celwyn of Solstice and Shamari of Twin Lakes, who split the detatchment into northern and southern units.  Although many smaller units in Missouri and Tennessee soon after formed, they did not rival the size of the larger detatchments.

Sathallarin is probably the most famous for the "Sathallarin incident".

In 2002, Sathallarin moved to Texas, and during the six-month period in which he dwelt in the Emerald Hills he began telling people that he was a knight, although it appears that this was a revelation primarily directed to the newer members of the fighting company he founded.

Within a few months this came to the attention of the EH Guildmaster of Knights, but was never confirmed until World Banner Wars 2002 where Sathallarin played 5th level paladin during the main war and claimed openly to be a knight. Although there has never been a record of Sathallarin signing in or even being present at World Banner Wars. He then recanted and claimed to have been knighted in 1996 in Dragonspine. Kayrana an Emerald Hills member of the time, questioned this as she was also knighted in Dragonspine in 1996.

An investigation ensued where the Guild Master of Knights for Emerald Hills was unable to find a record from any group to indicate that Sathallarin  was ever knighted.  During this investigation, Sathallarin was told directly to not present his case to the Guild Master of Knights, or she would press harrasment charges on him.

Based on the recommendations of the Emerald hills Circle of Knights, Sathallarin was asked to teach two armor making workshops or assist conducting two crown qualifications or dragonmaster tournaments as a tangible apology and service for claiming to be a knight.

Sathallarin was then publically threatend on the Emerald Hills list, both with physical violence and the warning that his presence at any of the Emerald Hills parks would result in charges of trespassing and disturbing the peace.  Obviously, Sathallarin declined the offer from the Emerald Hills Knights guild, and quit attending Amtgard.  This of course resulted in several members of the Emerald Hills visiting his work place and calling his home after midnight, threatening both his job and his family, until Sathallarin was forced to move from the area.

It was not until 2006, four years after the events in the Emerald Hills, that Sathallarin to Amtgard, at the urging of several friends, and the support of a few knights and squires.  He could have just as easily changed his name, and avoided the whole resurfacing of the "Sathallarin Incident", but boldly strode forth, to face whatever Amtgard would throw out at him.

On Aug 14, 2007 Sathallarin telephoned Radio's Radio Free Amtgard show and discussed this issue with Forest and Larin. Without discussing specific details, he admitted he is not a knight and subsequently has issued a public apology to the Kingdom of Emerald Hills. He has stated that he will be performing the tasks requested of him as penance by the Emerald Hills Circle of Knights to help benefit his new home Kingdom of Crystal Groves.

Sathallarin's Apology
Taken from the Emerald Hills List-re-posted:

"I am writing this apology to right a wrong that I committed while in

your kingdom. It has been several years since my crime against the

people of the Emerald Hills took place, and although many of you have

even forgotten all about it or were not in the kingdom at the time, I

feel that it is the right thing to do none the less.

Many years before I migrated to the Emerald Hills, I received a

knighthood from someone who did not have the authority to issue it.

I believed it to be valid, and therefore saw no reason to question

the award.

The particulars of the award, its presentation, and my lack of

inquisition into the matter are of no importance in this instance.

What has bearing is this: for reasons I believed to be valid, I

presented myself, not loudly mind you, as a Paladin upon the field of

Emerald Hills. I had played Paladin many times before, at various

events and in my home park, and had never received a reason to

question the award I had been given, fraudulent though it was.

When I returned from Banner Wars, I received news of a personal

nature, which I do not feel necessary to discuss. This news made me

realize that I had placed a game over one of the most important of

all mundane issues, and I knew that I had failed those involved,

costing my family the ultimate price.

It was during this time that it was discovered that my title was not

valid, and despite flaming emails and many threats of physical

violence against my person, the Circle of Knights attempted to reach

an agreeable solution.

Although I feel that it could have been handled in a more suitable

manner, due to the nature of many of the threats and the personal

loss I had just suffered, I felt it was easier to just bow out in

what I had hoped was a graceful manner, and to just leave Amtgard.

Many years have passed, and although I have not yet come to grips

with my personal short comings, I feel that it is necessary to write

this apology in hopes of laying this to rest, so that we may all

better pursue our dreams in peace.

I have volunteered to serve the penance placed on me by the CoK in

the only way physically available to me, by teaching two armor

workshops for the Amtgard Kingdom I now hold residence in.

I hope that I have made the right decision in this.

Sathallarin"
