Marcus was the apprentice of the Wizard Menalag, whom was slain by the hands of his brother Ciel, The Deciever. He now wanders the lands searching for a Master Wizard to teach him the magical arts. He wonders what has happened to his brother that has made him so ruthless and cruel. He has yet to see hide nor hair of his brother since, and did not get two words from him after the slaying of his master. Still in mourning for his master's death, he wanders the lands of Crying Heavens in search of someone to finish his training, and in hopes of finding his brother and figuring out what happened to him.
