Maccalus Caerwent Ex

Active in the Golden Plains (and to a much lesser extent, the Emerald Hills) in the late 1980's, when the Plains was still a Shire, and later, a Barony. Maccalus entered the U.S. military on full-time active duty in 1990, and while stationed overseas in Germany, started an informal Amtgard group, the Vales of MistWinter, which presumably folded shortly after Maccalus returned to the states. Maccalus was inactive in Amtgard for a little more than ten years, before returning to the fold and helping Jayden co-found the Freehold of Five Banners in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 2008. Maccalus served as that Freehold's first chief (equivalent of Sheriff) from 2007-2008.

If asked, Maccalus will tell you that his full name is Maccalus Valerius Triarius Magnus, of the Stellatina tribe, a Roman citizen of Briton and Hispanian parentage. Maccalus is currently head of the Legio VIIII Hispania, a fighting company based upon Roman legionary tactics of the early- to mid- Imperial Era.
