Ironwood
a chapter of the Wetlands, located in Conroe, TX.
History
A strongly role-play oriented group, Ironwood's park is small, but the players are friendly and love to quest. Our populace fluctuates weekly due to the relative youth of our players -- many are students without regular transportation.
Ironwood is a known hot spot for rebellion when called for by RP, and is known for it's hospitality and availability for hosting Monarchs and Kingdom level one-day events.
On a mundane note, on-site porta-potties and restrooms, water fountains, covered pavilions, and a children's playground are available, and lend to the more family oriented atmosphere of this park.
There is a Kroger and other amenities at I-45 and 336, on your way in.

The current monarchy is supporting the ongoing trend of family oriented activities, including AmtKids training and tourneys, promotion of A&S with monthly themed competitions (See below), enforcement of minimum garb standard, promotion of the Rules of Play 7.5+, amusing rather than totally dry courts, public acknowledgment of achievement wherever possible, and in general having fun.

Please Note: Due to the current temperatures and heat index, the Baron has decreed that we begin meeting earlier in the day to avoid the worst of the heat. He proposes to move our scheduled time to 11am to take advantage of cooler temperatures, starting June 12. Please share this information far and wide.
We meet at Carl Barton park on Loop 336, on the south east side of Conroe, Texas. Still at two o'clock on Sundays.
From I-45, take loop 336 South to the East. Pass FM 1314 and turn right at the first entrance to the park. Follow the driveway around behind the main pavilion. We can be found out on the nature trails, or somewhere nearby.
