Biography

Started the wonderful journey that is Amtgard in July 2015.

   A lot of you wonder who Ikaros is; what is her backstory. Listen, for I shall tell you.
    Ikaros is an Angel. Not a normal, everyday Angel. She is an Angel that led directly under the Judeo-Christian Arch-Angel known as Raphael, the Arch-Angel of Healing.
    Raphael sent Ikaros out into the world to help humankind. This much Ikaros knows about her past history. In the past 36 turns of this form, Ikaros has helped hundreds upon hundreds of humans. Eased their pain, filled the silence, alleviated their loneliness, quelled their demons and guided them to easier thoughts.
    Ikaros has also had to deal with her own pain; both internal and external. She has learned to live with the physical pain at an early age, to love it, hate it, but above any other type of pain dealt to her, the most preferred, understood. It is the mental and emotional pain that Ikaros detests. It has been used as a weapon so many times; twisted, corrupted, pure evil, treachery and lies when all that Ikaros stands for is Love, Healing, Truth, Loyalty. 
     Twelve years ago Raphael bade Ikaros to take up a very difficult and extremely needing family as she was tending to those who were left in a special home by their families for convenience sake. So, she did as he asked her, not knowing the slow spiraling decent into Hell which she was about to take with a devious, deceitful, silver-tongued whore of a Demon.
    Ikaros started a relationship with the Demon, not knowing what he truly was; offering her love, support, loyalty, honesty, moral support, help in and with all things, was always accommodating. She would work 16 hour shifts on the weekends so that neither he nor her would have to worry about daycare; she was everything a person could ever wish or want in a human. He on the other hand, was perfect, until he had what he wanted. And then things very slowly started to change. 
    Mentally, he started to tear away at Ikaros; her securities, her identity, her personality- while at the same time claiming to support who and what she was. Slowly he isolated her from her friends and family yet nagged her to see them, visit them. Praised her on how she raised her children and then tore her down, telling her it wasn't good enough, it had to be harsher, tougher, she had to change. And so she did, against all her morals and better judgment, all that she was; but she did it telling herself it was for love, for the best and that eventually she could get through to him as Raphael asked of her.
    Over the years it only got worse. He started drinking and the drinking slowly increased in amounts until he should have been dying from alcohol poisoning in the last two years alone, but, he did not. In those years there were plenty of fights, mostly brought on by his drinking, cheating, lying and trying to lay the blame for everything on everyone except where it needed to go. Ikaros did everything in her power to help him, wanting to see him in a better way, but it was not to be.
    Ikaros could not take anymore of the mental and emotional pain from the Demon anymore. After finding out about two other women in the Demon's life while Ikaros was living with family and trying to build-up a home for her, the children and the Demon for when he came back from working out-of-state, Ikaros was angry. Her husband, the lying, oath-breaking, deceitful, self-serving tramp was creating a little harem for his self and had deceived one of the two other women. Unfortunately for him she had found out the deception and had notified Ikaros. 
    So, here Ikaros stands now. Well rid of that Demon, though she will probably have to face him again in the next life. She has a warning to all humankind; Beware those with the silver-tongue. I say this as I gave the last missive from the Demon to me as confirmation that silver-tongued Demons are not to be trusted, no matter the cost.
