Harvest War XIV and Amtgard Olympiad XIX

Exciting news from all sides of the Harvest War front.

For the Fighters and Artisans

  • This year Harvest War will be hosting the Amtgard Olympiad. Eight war events and eight cultural events to find the best of the best. Will you be the one to walk away with the title of "l337 5t4ff m4574H" or even Grand Olympian for 2009?
  • If the Olympiad cultural events aren't enough for the artisans out there, check out the banner contest for banners created on site. Blank canvas banners will be supplied, but you'll have to partner up with some role players to get them.

For the Role Players

  • This year marks the largest and longest role playing scenario we've ever run, starting on Thursday afternoon and ending on Saturday evening. Your event directors are already deep into the planning stages and have pages upon pages of missions, battlegames, puzzles, prop designs, and ciphers that have already been created and we're not done yet.
  • The missions and battlegames are geared towards adventuring parties of up to 10 players each but even the smaller groups and solo players will be able to participate. Past quest items will be in affect again this year so be sure to bring your previously looted equipment back into play! Prizes will be given to the winning adventuring parties for their performance in all aspects of the event.

For the Hungry People

  • The Saturday night feast menu is shaping up well and looks to be a choice of roast goat and/or turkey served with potatoes, gravy, and vegetables. The standard bread, butter, and cheese will be available for those that are afraid of meat and the meal will be topped off by a dessert.
  • For those that want something a bit more special, a noble's meal will be available for an additional cost. The noble's meal includes an extra course, a choice of steak and/or an as yet unnamed exotic meat, and a special dessert. In addition you are served before the peasantry and a complementary food tester is provided.
  • During the rest of the event, hamburgers, pizza, chili, and the famous "PV Steamer" are available from the tavern so you can eat affordable hot food all weekend if you want to avoid bringing "camp food".

Event Info

  • The event will be held over the Labor Day weekend, September 3 - 7 in Gavilan, New Mexico. (~110 miles from ABQ airport)
  • $12 Standard rate covers the whole weekend...

Camping, feast, favors, props, prizes, and toilet paper!

  • $6 Discount rate for the weekend is for children under 14 and non-participating parents/guardians. We'll even let the infants sneak in for free. The discount rate covers camping, feast, favors, kids activities, and toilet paper!
