That's right boys and girls Iron Quest is back and will be bigger and better than last year. If you don't know what Iron Quest is well it's like this. Take a team of Amtgarders, give them a challenge of making a part of a quest within a certain time frame and have it be quested through a panel of judges trying to create the best scenario amongst all the competitors. Sounds easy don't it? Well the trick is we make things interesting for you, the judges will be giving the captain of each team certain guidelines they have to follow. Last year we decided to be nice and made the guidelines pretty simple, the theme was Restless Spirits and each team had that and a random questing area on the Fury site to work with. This year however the kiddy gloves are off! Time limits will be strictly enforced (I'm looking at you Katie), and the guidelines will be more challenging.

We are only having a set amount of teams this year with last years winners Team SCIENCE!, led by Wolvenfang's Cy of the Shadows, getting an automatic spot as defending champion. Can anyone topple this questing juggernaut in the ultimate quest making challenge? Time will tell....

CABIN AUCTION!
+
A&S Workshops
One of the great things about the Fury of the Northlands site is that fact we have access to about 10 cabins (some with electricity) that people could sleep in to get out of the rain and not have to worry about packing along tents. Last year they were on a first come/first serve basis. Well this year we are going to be auctioning off one of the cabin WITH working electricity that will be reserved for the winning bidder and 7 of their guests for the entire weekend. So no need to try and rush down to the site to get a cabin. Details as to when the auction will take place will be coming soon.

These workshops will be held but require participants to bring their own materials.

THE TAR AND FEATHERING OF SIR SANCHEZ!
+
Macrame workshop:  Diana will have *some* cord to use for demonstartion purposes, however, if you would like to make your own belt from start to finish, we suggest that you bring your own cord and ring. You can get cord at www.macramesuperstore.com  My recomendation would be to get skeins of 100 yards 6mm. They also sell the brass rings. I would suggest 2.5 inches or 3 inches.
Start saving your pennies because you read that right. Sir Sanchez, GV Sword Knight, Co-Captian of FRAT, Scourge of the Ditch Field, Stabber of Kidneys (that was a joke....) has offered to auction to someone the oppurtunity to tar and feather him (with GV approved materials, we want him humiliated not dead). Just imagine the glory, the pictures, the You Tube videos all can be yours at this years Fury!

Weapon Making Class: Sir Belgarin states that you will need to bring foam, a core, DAP, tape.

GATE FEE DETAILS!
+
Chain maille armour & jewerly class:  Rings.. If you can, bring your own rings and needle nose pliers. If you can not, the teachers have stated that they could use some rings from their own stock, however, at that point, please feel free to donate a couple of dollars so that they may replenish their stock.
The event long gate fee will be $30.00 for all 4 days, same as last year. HOWEVER! Because Amtgarders are caring awesome individuals we will be holding a $5.00 discount for anyone dotating a new unwrapped toy for the US Marine Toys for Tots Foundation that will be collected at troll at this years Fury of the Northlands. Information regarding Toys for Tots can be found here: http://www.toysfortots.org/default.asp

It's a great charity and I'm sure that we will have excellent participation from the Kingdom.

+
War events:
That's right! Tomahomie has offered to run a midnight quest for a select group of questers at this years Fury (and I can say for myself, it's gonna kick ass, I've seen the plans) ala Cy of the Shadows style (of Wolvenfang and White Boar fame). Details are secret and hidden for now but I can tell you this. After Fury's midnight quest, Cy may have to step up his game to out "quest run" Tomahomie. Details regarding the time of the auction will be coming soon.

If you can't make it that day what I will be willing to do is take a max bid amount that you would be willing to pay and if someone makes a bid and it is still within your maximum bid, I will increase their bid only by a dollar until you win, or get out bid by another party. So for example, if someone sends me a max bid of $200.00 for Tomahome's midnight quest and the highest bid is $135.00, I'll have your bid at $136.00 and if you were to win, you would only owe the $136.00 not the $200.00 max. Any questions feel free to ask.
