A persona name's Flurb Rating can be discovered thusly:

  1. Break the full name down into it's component parts. For example, Bladestorm Shadowbane breaks down into "blade", "storm", "shadow", and "bane". Correct any "creative spelling".
  2. Search the ORK for each component of that name.
  3. Total up the number of matches.

That total is the name's Flurb Rating.

Certain words are exempt... "of", "the", and "von".

Colors, metals, and other "cool sounding" stuff will really rack up the flurbosity. Dark, shadow, blood, bone... oh yeah.

The general consensus is that a high rating is A Bad Thing, though some clearly disagree.
