The Corsairs are one of the oldest fighting companies of Amtgard. Founded by Sir [[Morluk]] the Merciless in March 1983,currently based out of the [[Emerald Hills]] in Dallas, Texas. Of the still active companies, only the [[Star Questing Dragons]] & [[Wandering Unicorns]] were founded earlier. History
The Corsairs are one of the oldest fighting companies of Amtgard. Founded by Sir Morluk the Merciless in March 1983,currently based out of the Emerald Hills in Dallas, Texas. Of the still active companies, only the Star Questing Dragons & Wandering Unicorns were founded earlier. Originally known as the "Satisfiers of the Sun Temple" the name was changed to "The Corsairs" in 1984. The company has produced more sword knights as well as other orders of knighthood than nearly every other company, and has the notariety of being home the the first sword knight of Amtgard as well as many other distinctions.
