Boffer

A slang term used to describe a foam padded replica weapon. Most commonly used to describe 'weapons' that have little to no visual resemblance to the weapon they are fashioned after. Considered by most to be a safe way to strike someone. Used in multiple games/sports including but not limited to: Amtgard, Belegarth, and Dagorhir.
