Atomic Clock

Once one the of two prevalent forms of Amtgard Combat, along with Shot In Motion.

In Atomic Clock, when someone is dead they are instantly dead and do not get to finish any other shots, no matter how quickly they follow.

It would be common after an exchange for example, to hear one fighter say "Late". Meaning that he got his shot in and his opponent was "late", thus that shot didn't count.

Atomic Clock is used in the Emerald Hills, Wetlands and commonly used (though not officially) in Neverwinter. Probably some other lands as well.

Proponents of Atomic Clock note that you can tell by the sound alone whether there is a "simo", e.g., simultaneous deaths.

Sir Spyn Thrift N’than of the Wetlands is sometimes called the "High Priest of Atomic Clock". Though he didn't invent it, he has certainly been one of its most dedicated supporters.

With the Advent of the 7.0 Rulebook Atomic clock no longer exists.
