| + | :I know I'm replying to a two year old message. I would use it just as you are currently, and then use this talk page as a central discussion area. That is what most smaller Wikis do with their Community Portal. Also you can change the links that are on the main navigation pretty easily. You can edit the side bar at [[MediaWiki:Sidebar]] and you can find help on how to do that at [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Interface/Sidebar Manual:Interface/Sidebar]. - I know I'm replying to a two year old message. I would use it just as you are currently, and then use this talk page as a central discussion area.
