Amtwiki Ban Policy

The things listed herein are not condoned on the Amtwiki. Taking such action can result in being banned, and the loss of your editing privileges. Do not do them.
First and foremost:

  • Spamming, defined here as the addition of material unassociated with the topic of a page, intentionally adding links that are not relevant, or adding material that, by the interpretation of an admin, is considered to add no value, is an automatic ban for up to your entire life.
  • Repeatedly adding content that has been either removed by an adminor specifically requested removed by either a copyright holder or by fellow users
  • Vandalizing an article: to include but not limited to intentionally removing content, replacing content with wrong or unrelated material, or adding content that is interpreted by an admin to be destructive to the article.
  • Harassment, vulgarity, or intimidating behavior: are completely unacceptable.

The admins understand with the Amtwiki containing information about many people, lands, and events within Amtgard it is an easy place to play subtle jokes. Subtle jokes that do not in any way violate the above restrictions may be tolerated, assuming the following:

  • Any affected person does not request its removal.
  • It does not detract from the Amtwiki in any way as interpreted by an admin.
  • It is not of a humiliating nature. The admins interpret humiliating pictures, slogans, or sayings as being harassment, and will act appropriately.

The admins reserve the right to moderate and manage the Amtwiki in the manner they feel is in the Amtwiki's best interest. While any action taken by a user, anonymous or registered, may not fall under the above restrictions, if an admin judges it to be inappropriate, they will take necessary action to ensure the Amtwiki is maintained. The above list is not all inclusive and does not represent all actions that could result in the loss of editing privileges.

Picture Policy

In order to keep the Amtwiki manageable, the admins restrict each user page to having no more than 2 pictures. If a user wishes to have more pictures, they are welcome to place text links to them on the page.

Content Restriction Policy

The Amtwiki is a repository of knowledge. It is not another place to list awards or credits. Please do not list all awards, credits, etc. on a user page. Linking to the ORK is acceptable, as well as listing prestigious awards such as tenth orders, masterhoods, knightings, etc.
