History
Formed in 1988 when Dalmaggnon of the Golden Plains mailed a copy of the rules to Maccalus at his overseas military post. The group never signed contract with Amtgard, inc., because frankly we didn't know we were supposed to! Membership reached a peak of about six regular members in early 1991, but was always fluctuating due to military transfers and deployments in the aftermath of Desert Storm. The Vales never really attained a tight nucleus of core members and only had two regular members under the leadership of Dalron BoarSlayer in 1992 when Maccalus returned to the U.S.A.. This Shire either continues to function as a lost colony of Amtgard, or more likely, folded sometime later in 1992 when Dalron's tour of duty ended.
