The following rules are from an out of date rule-set Though most spells have a finite range, some have "line-of-sight" range, meaning that they affect all suitable players who can be seen from the caster's position (and are not blocked by game objects such as Forcewall or Thornwall). These are often accompanied by extremely long incantations, compared to normal spells, to prevent abuse and encourage their use only when it is strategically supported.
