Trail's End

The road had been long. Weary, the small group looked out from the crest of the last hill on a vast sea of grass. Wildlife dotted the land and the sun glinted off a small stream that wandered below them back into the woods. Setting down their packs, they silently looked at the empty backtrail. Lord Squire ShadowHawk asked "Here?" Nods and agreement came to him from the group. ShadowHawk picked up his pack, and rumaging through it, he pulled out a small banner, and placing it on a makeshift post, declared: "This then, is the Shire of The Trails End!" A quiet "HUZZAH!" Greeted his news, and the work commenced on the building of this shire.
