Godric of the Cross
Godric began playing at Black Marsh in 2011, but was in school so his attendance was spotty. He graduated in 2014 and has been much more consistent after that.
Persona: Godric was born the middle son of a minor German lord in the middle of the 12th century. He was brought up to be a warrior and trained for combat for all of his formative years. Godric joined the Teutonic Order shortly before a crusade on the Holy Land in the late 12th century. While the Teutonic Order is a militaristic order, they also put a heavy focus on hospitals and other humanistic ventures. The Teutonic Order played a major part in the battles capture of Jerusalem in and Godric was there fighting along with his brothers. After the fighting Godric was assigned to protect a Teutonic Hospital in the heart of Jerusalem. The Holy City was reclaimed by Salaldin in 1187 but he allowed the Teutonic Order to continue their work, in hospital and field in recognition of their benevolent services, consented that some of them should remain there and continue their work. During this time Godric fell in love with the people and culture of the Holy City. That is where Godric is now. He serves his people that are making a pilgrimage to the Holy City. He has fallen in love with the people of Jerusalem and has adopted many of their ways and culture. He still looks back proudly at his fighting days and always keeps his equipment in tip top shape. You never know when a retired warrior might need to spring back into action.
