2012 Audit
- Are you active? What is your average number of players locally per week?
- Yes. At this point 10 on average. We are only three months old and are numbers are increasing every week.
- What days and times do you meet?
- Every Sunday at 1pm. School year we meet Thursdays at 6pm. During the Summer we meet Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm.
- What park do you meet in, city and state? Can you give directions or a physical address?
- We meet in Jackson Park near the baseball fields in Vienna, WV. The map with GPS coordinates are on the ORK.
- Who is your leadership? Can we have and post their contact information?
- Currently: Sheriff/Regent: Henry Greatwing.
- Chancellor
- Cesare Forel.
- The contact info is on the ORK. I assume if it is posted there then the wiki would be fine for posting as well. It should just be an email address for both of us.
- What is your heraldry? Do you have a jpeg or other image file we can upload to the wiki?
- Yes. I will attach the file to this email.
- Have you taken a recent group photo of your chapter? Can we have a copy?
- We have no group photos yet. I need to get on that.
- Do you have an example of your chapter's heraldry in use, as a favor, garb, banner, or similar?
- No. The heraldry was literally voted in and approved two days ago.
- When was your chapter founded? By whom?
- Our chapter began as a school club at Parkersburg High School. Hagari Ironforger and Raglon Longfellow approached me looking for someone on faculty to sponsor their LARP club. I agreed and the club began meeting on campus after school and played by a mishmash of Amtgard and other rules.
As summer approached we decided that we wanted to keep playing over the summer and contacted Ruby Hills for help setting up the club. They were unimaginably helpful and patiently helped us with rules, donated weapons, and such. At this time I also convinced Henry Greatwing to come help us. He is one of my colleagues at the school and was the other legal adult needed to sign the contract.
- Do you have traditions or games that you would say define your chapter?
- We like playing games using classes. Ditching is fun but we generally like classes. However, if we are dropping classes our go-to game is an Amtgard version of the Call of Duty Gun Game.
- Do you have an active forum, facebook groups, or mailing list? Can you give us links?
- Facebook. here
- Have you had any news organizations do any pieces on your chapter in the last two years?
- Nope, too new
- What have you been doing to attract new players?
- Our club primarily consists of high school and college students. We have a branch of the club in one of the local high schools so that will give us a steady influx of new players… That we then train to play and they graduate and play at all the college clubs.
- Has anything happened in the last year that you would like included in your history?
- Ora, lege, lege, lege, relege, labora et invenies.
