History
At the end of September 2010, the idea for Tortuga was born in front of a grill a Francios' place to bring Amtgard on Sunday's to the Twin Cities Metro Area. The first Tortuga gameday took place on Sunday, October 10th, 2010 and the final gameday took place in November of the same year. Tortuga's contract was not initially approved. The Burning Lands Board of Directors allowed Tortuga to continue to play and the contract would be reviewed at a later point in time. This ultimately failed due to have the 3rd highest snowfall on record that winter. Francois Antonio di Vini and Weezicus then decided not to continue with Tortuga.
