Heraldry
History
The Warhounds were formed from former members of The Black Company, Isen das Sturm, and others. While we are still currently pulling ourselves together we still fight out at our local fields when possible. Otherwise we fight twice a week for training.
Structure
The Warhounds are loosly based on Norse and Celtic warrior groups, mixed with modern combat tactics, and an understanding of how to add a fantasy element (Battle games) into the battlefield.
The Warhounds are focused on three divisions:
The P.I.T. Division: Here we teach newbies the basics of weapon and garb making and train them in the basics of Amtgard combat. They can leave or join another company at any time. Those that wish to join the Warhounds proper may do so from this division.
The Warhounds Division: This is the core group of the company. Here the traiing gets intense and you must earn every rank you get. The Warhounds are focused on training team and individual skills to create a formidable fighting group.
The Horns of War Division: This is the support crew of the Warhounds, from reeves, crafters, artists, to feastacrats. While traditionaly more the role of a House we beleive that supporting the arts and crafts of Amtgard is just as important as fighting.
