Stagwood of Seven Sleeping Dragons, Westmarch
Biography
In the Stagwood Forest at the eastern border of the realm, where great herds of elk roam at the foot the grey mountains in the wintertime, a mysterious ranger moves in the deep green shadows.
No one knows his real name, and people on the outlands of the realm simply call him the Stagwood Ranger. On his infrequent visits to the outer towns to trade, he’s pleasant and courteous — but he never speaks about himself and never stays long. He dresses in simple, dark clothing well suited for the woods, and the only emblem he wears is his own: a rough-drawn head and antlers of a buck.
He usually stays far away from the wars and conflicts that have ravaged through the valley in recent years. But when his home is threatened and the armies encroach on the Stagwood, he has been known to take up arms. They say he’s not much use in the middle of the fray, but he’s deadly from a distance with a bow or a throwing axe.
Ok, here's the truth. Stagwood joined Amtgard in 2014, first just curiously checking out a park day at the Barony of the Seven Sleeping Dragons, eventually picking up a sword and trying it out for himself. Despite being a sporadic player at best, he quickly became obsessed with Amtgard and is constantly tinkering with his garb and gear during the week. His favored weapons - bows and throwing axes - put him out of range of his enemies, but he's working on his hand-to-hand skills.
