Belegarth
Is a full contact sport and not a LARP
What is it
Belegarth is a branch off from Dagorhir after some internal matters could not be resolved. However, Belegarth nor Dagorhir should be considered "LARPs" as they do not allow for magic, classes, or any of the other things that would generally constitute something as one.
How is it different?
Belegarth lacks Multiple points of armour for a single piece, magic, or classes that offer special benefits. Out of the three main "Boffer" sports (Amtgard, Dagorhir, Belegarth) Belegarth tends to be the most combat oriented. Belegarth allows multiple things that Amtgard would not, such as: Shield kicking, bashing, punching; Grappling; Projectiles to the head.

OktoberFest is the largest midwestern Belegarth event, often turning out no less than 1000 signed waivers at least 800 of which are fighters.
