A "chair-farmer" is a derogatory term for a person, often someone who signs in as color, who only participates in the social aspect of Amtgard. People might use this term to describe a subject who is sitting at the edge of the battlefield drinking and socializing, rather than participating in an aspect of Amtgard like combat, A&S, or leadership. It doesn't always apply to all people who sign in as color, but rather the color who do not seem to add anything to the culture of Amtgard.
