If you're going to fly somewhere, the best way to make sure your swords arrive intact is to use a hard-sided golf bag case. Golf cases range up to $400, but Walmart carries the Contico-Traveling-Golf-Case for $29.87. It is 14.5"x12"x51", so you'll be able to pack your swords, mechs, shoes and gloves in it easily. It has wheels and a handle so you can roll it easily if you get tired of carrying it in the airport.
