Persona Biography
Born and raised within Bahamut's Palace, Vinderex came from a noble family of dragons that directly served Bahamut. He was still very young when a crazed man named Thaddeus Zephrine Geitz began a mad crusade to exterminate all dragonkind after his family's band of mercenaries had been wiped out by a black dragon. Geitz didn't discriminate between good and evil, all dragons were his enemy, and eventually he even found his way into Bahamut's Palace and attempted to slay Bahamut himself. Geitz ultimately was defeated by Bahamut, but not before wreaking havoc, and slaying many good dragons, including Vinderex's father. Ever since that day, Vinderex never felt comfortable in the palace again; everywhere he looked sparked visions of the terrible day of Geitz's rampage. Unable to bear it anymore, he ventured out into the world on his own. But having spent all of his former life within the safety of Bahamut's Palace, Vinderex had never seen much of humans. Geitz had been his first memorable encounter with a human, and so in the years immediately after leaving the palace, he became the very worst kind of dragon, one who saw humans as a threat, and who spent his days mercilessly hunting down, exterminating, and enslaving any humans he encountered. Over time however, the slaves he kept got to know him, and began to see that such destructiveness wasn't his true nature. One woman in particular by the name of Aelia grew especially close to Vinderex, heard the full story of his past, and the origin of his hatred for mankind. As time passed, she slowly convinced him of the error of his ways. Decades went by, and Vinderex remained young as Aelia eventually grew old and fragile. Her dieing wish was for Vinderex to give mankind another chance. And so, Vinderex took on a human form, and went out to wander the land, mingling among and studying mankind as he traveled.
Though powerful in his true form, he is still unaccustomed to his human body, and is not well versed in the arts of combat, and so survival sometimes demands that he show his more dragon-like side. He tries to avoid unnecessary conflict, though his sympathy for all dragonkind, both good and evil, and his tendency to even fight to protect them, has earned him the mistrust of many human comrades who consider such creatures to be a threat, especially Black Clover who has actively hunted him down on many occasions.
Player Biography
Vinderex began playing in July 2013 after meeting Ed in college and hearing of Nine Willows from her. After being a regular player at Nine Willows for a little under a year, he became a founding member of Burning Skies. He has some fencing background, and also has some experience with weaving scalemail. He received his first Order of the Owl at the kingdom coronation in 2013 for his "dragon skin" armor. Since joining, he has also started making PVC bows.
